Libby and David won the Flinders March Petanque competition yesterday. (Sunday 12th. March) There were 8 teams of 3 players. They won 9/3, 9/7, 9/1. Only 2 teams won 3 games and D & L won convincingly on points. Theyhad some help from their third player but Libby and David drove the win! Libby was straight as usual and with some encouragement controlled her length to put pressure on their opponents. Admittedly the opponents weren’t, good at shooting. Still a win is a win. Quite a thrill for them. Just shows the practice of playing together at Camberwell paid off.
