As part of Seniors Week in Victoria, Caulfield Sth. Community House put on a number of events including "Learn about Petanque Day".

Camberwell Petanque Club was called on to assist after their previous Partner Club was unable to partake at the last moment.

How fortunate tha† turned out to be for both CPC & CSCH, as a fantastic experience was enjoyed by both parties.

Michael Young and Rex represented CPC as instructors, coaches and ambassadors. They thoroughly enjoyed the interaction and warmth from the paticipants and Community House administrators alike.

Also enjoyable were some very tasty French nibbling morsels. And playing between the community garden plots and gnomes added an extra highlight

We may pick up a new member or 2 but more likely a closer club could. However, a rising tide lifts all ships and its the game of petanque that is the overall winner.

The day was so successful that a regular competition between CPC & CSCH is being mooted.
