It was 11.50am on Sat 30 July and a beautiful Melbourne day. Perfect winter pétanque weather and only 2 people en piste! Looks like it will be a quiet one ar the Club!
An hour later 33 competitors were straining their necks to see who their team mates were in a long afternoon of pétanque action. Once again, the Rex Rod was invoked during the course of play in some fiercely contested play.
