It gets hot out there on the pistes. Here are some tips to help you stay safe in the heat:
- Limit outdoor activity to the coolest part of the day - Protect yourself from the sun, cover exposed skin, use sunscreen and wear a hat. - Wear light-coloured, loose-fitting clothing made from natural fibres like cotton and linen. - Wear sunglasses. - Rest regularly in the shade. - Carry a water bottle and drink fluids frequently even if you’re not thirsty. - Eat smaller meals more often and cold meals such as salad.
